Visitors and vehicles

Two read-only screens that let you see the whole community rather than one household. Use them when someone asks "who came through the gate on Tuesday?" or "whose car is this?"

Visitors

Admin → Visitors lists every arrival at your gate, newest first, across all houses.

Filter by:

  • Search — name or plate number.
  • Street — narrow to one street.

Each row shows the visitor, their plate, the purpose of the visit, and how long ago they arrived. Rows carry markers for a permanent pass and for a reported visitor. Tap any row for the full record.

This is your record when there's a dispute: it shows who was registered, for which house, and when they were seen at the gate.

Vehicles

Admin → Vehicles lists every vehicle registered by every household, searchable by plate or by the resident who registered it.

Its main use is answering "whose vehicle is this?" — a car blocking a driveway, one parked in a visitor bay for a week. Search the plate and you have the household.

Service vehicles

Unlike the two screens above, Admin → Service vehicles is the list of vehicles the gate lets in that don't belong to any resident: the school van, the cleaners, a contractor on a long job, the rubbish truck. Only sites with number-plate cameras use it; the guardhouse app does not check this list.

Add a vehicle with its plate and a label that says who it is ("School van, SK Taman Desa"). Set a valid until date for a contractor whose job ends, and the cameras stop letting the plate in the day after. Untick Active to pause a vehicle without deleting it.

A plate can be either a resident's vehicle or a service vehicle, not both. If you get "is registered to a resident" when adding one, that plate already belongs to a household — find it under Admin → Vehicles.

What these screens don't do

Both are read-only. You can look, filter, and search, but you can't edit a visitor record or remove someone's vehicle from here. Residents manage their own vehicles; visitor records are written by the guardhouse and by the gate itself, and stay as they were logged.
