Guard accounts
Guards use a separate app from residents, at your community's guard address. It only does gate work: scan a code, verify a code, search past visitors, register a walk-in.
Guards sign in with a phone number and password — not WhatsApp. Their account belongs to your community only.
Creating an account
Admin → Guards → New guard. Name, phone number (the +60 is fixed), an optional email, and a password you choose.
The password field shows what you type rather than hiding it. That's deliberate — you're setting it on behalf of someone else and reading it out to them.
Then give them the guardhouse guide. Print a copy for the post; guards change shift and the next person won't have seen your WhatsApp message.
Resetting a password
Tap a guard → type a new password under Reset password → Save. Leaving it blank keeps the current one.
Do this whenever someone leaves the guard company. The account is shared knowledge at the post, so treat a departure as a password reset, not a paperwork item.
Removing a guard
Tap the guard → Danger zone → Remove guard. They can't sign in after that.
Practical advice
One account per person, not per post. It's tempting to create a single "Guardhouse" login for the shared tablet. Don't — every visitor record is stamped with who registered it, and that's worth having when there's a dispute about who was let in.
Change the password when staff change. Guards leave and take the password with them.
The phone number is their username. Get it right, or they can't sign in.
