Host an event

Having thirty people over for Raya? Don't create thirty passes. Create one invitation and share a single link — each guest registers themselves.

Create the invitation

Go to InvitationsNew invitation.

  • Title — what your guests will see. "Raya open house".
  • Purpose — usually Family/Friends.
  • Guest access — Single entry, or 24h / 48h / 72h re-entry for a multi-day event.
  • Capacity — optional. Leave it blank for no limit. Once the cap is reached, further guests are turned away automatically.
  • Valid from / Valid until — optional. The gate stops honouring passes outside this window.
  • Require my approval for each guest — see below.

Approval: on or off

Off (the default) — anyone with the link registers and gets a working pass immediately. Best for a party where you know roughly who's coming and don't want your phone buzzing all day.

On — every guest who registers waits until you approve them. You'll see them under Guests on the invitation screen with a Pending label; tap in and choose Approve or Reject. Best when the link might get forwarded beyond the people you meant to invite.

Share the link

Open the invitation and tap WhatsApp to share it directly, or Copy link to paste it into a group chat or a poster.

Your guests open the link and fill in their name and plate number. They immediately get their own pass with a QR code to show at the gate.

During the event

The invitation screen lists every guest who has registered, with their plate number and status. Tap any guest to see their pass, approve or reject them, or revoke their access.

Shutting it down

Tap Deactivate invitation. This does two things at once:

  • The link stops accepting new guests.
  • Every pass already issued from this invitation stops working.

That second part is the important one — it's a kill switch for the whole event, not just the link. If you only want to stop new registrations while letting current guests come and go, don't deactivate; set a capacity or a Valid until date when you create the invitation instead.
