My household

The Tenants screen lists everyone registered as living in your house. Each person is either an owner or a tenant, and one of them is marked Main contact.

Everyone listed here gets their own sign-in, using their own phone number. They can create passes, see visitors, and manage vehicles for the household.

Who can do what

Owner Tenant
Add someone to the household Yes No
Edit their own profile Yes Yes
Edit or remove a tenant Yes No
Edit or remove another owner No No

Owners are not above other owners: an owner can manage the tenants in the household, but nobody can edit another owner's details. If an owner's details are wrong, ask your community admin to change them.

Adding someone

Only owners can add people. If you don't see the Add tenant button, you're registered as a tenant — ask an owner in your household, or your community admin.

Pick their role when you add them. Most people are tenants. Choosing owner makes them an equal owner of the household — and because owners can't edit or remove each other, you can't undo it yourself afterwards; only your community admin can. Add an owner when you mean it.

Go to TenantsAdd tenant and enter their name and phone number. That's it — there's no invitation to accept. The next time they open Teras and sign in with that number, they're in.

Get the phone number right. It's how they sign in, so a typo means they simply can't get access.

Changing your own details

Tap your own name in the list — it's marked (you) — to edit your name and email address. You can't change your own phone number here; that's your sign-in identity. Ask your community admin if it needs to change.

Editing or removing someone else

Owners can tap any tenant to edit their details or remove them from the household. Removing someone revokes their access to your house immediately.

Other owners are read-only — tapping one shows their details but offers no edit. That's deliberate: an owner shouldn't be able to remove a co-owner's access to their own house.

Main contact

The main contact is the person your community admin bills and contacts on behalf of the household. If your house has no main contact set, your household will be skipped when the community issues invoices — you simply won't receive a bill. Your community admin sets this, so ask them if it looks wrong.
