Let a guest in
When someone is coming to your house — a friend, a food delivery, a contractor — pre-register them. The guard gets their details before they arrive, so nobody waits at the gate.
Create a pass
Go to Passes → Pre-register.
- Name — who is coming.
- Plate — their vehicle's plate number. Required, because this is what the guard checks at the gate.
- Phone — optional.
- Purpose — Courier, Food Delivery, Pickup, Dropoff, Maintenance, Family/Friends, or Other.
- Access — how long the pass works. See below.
- Valid from / Valid until — optional dates. Use these when you know the visit is, say, next Saturday only.
Tap Create pass.
Choosing the access type
| Access | Use it for |
|---|---|
| Single entry | One visit. The pass is spent the first time the guard scans it. |
| 24h / 48h / 72h re-entry | Someone coming and going over a few days — a contractor, a visiting relative. The clock starts at the first scan, not when you create the pass. |
| Permanent (favourite) | People who visit constantly — your cleaner, your parents. Never expires, never gets used up. |
Use Permanent sparingly. It is a standing key to your gate.
Send it to your guest
Open the pass and use:
- Share — opens your phone's share sheet, or WhatsApp on a computer.
- Copy link — puts the link on your clipboard to paste anywhere.
Your guest opens the link and sees a QR code. At the gate they either show the QR code for the guard to scan, or read out the short code underneath it. Either works.
Keeping track
The pass screen shows:
- Status — Valid, Approved, Revoked, Expired, or Rejected.
- Last seen — when the guard last scanned it.
- Entries — a timestamped list of every time this pass has been used at the gate.
Cancelling a pass
Open the pass and tap Revoke pass. The next time anyone tries to use it at the gate, it won't work. This can't be undone — create a new pass instead if you change your mind.
